Buyer's guide

How to choose the best web hosting?

Eight things worth checking before you pick a provider - with us they are all included in the price.

Web hosting and .rs domains

Hosting you can understand, without the jargon

Since 2014 we have been helping companies and individuals, in Serbia and abroad, get fast and reliable web hosting, alongside VPS SSD servers, .rs domain registration and SSL certificates in one place.

SkyHosting is part of Skyneting d.o.o. from Niš, Serbia, and for more than a decade we have offered cPanel SSD web hosting plans sized for small and medium websites, as well as unmanaged VPS SSD servers for projects that need more resources and full root control. Every hosting plan ships with the cPanel control panel, a free SSL certificate and regular backups, with support for PHP 8, MySQL and Apache.

As an accredited RNIDS registrar we handle .rs, .co.rs, .org.rs, .edu.rs and .in.rs domain registration together with 40+ international extensions - .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .online, .shop, .site, .store and others. There is no residency requirement for a .rs domain, so customers outside Serbia can register one exactly like a local company would. If your website already lives with another provider, migration is free and causes no downtime.

Whether you need simple shared hosting for a first website or a VPS server for a more demanding application, the SkyHosting team is reachable by phone, ticket and live chat, in English and Serbian. We also issue SSL certificates and run a set of free SSL tools - a CSR generator, certificate decoder, key matcher and SSL checker.

Help

Frequently asked questions

Can I register a .rs domain if I am not from Serbia?

Yes. There is no residency requirement - foreign citizens and foreign companies can register .rs domains, and the administrative contact does not have to be a person in Serbia. SkyHosting is an accredited RNIDS registrar, so the registration goes directly to the Serbian national registry. See .rs domain pricing.

How much does a .rs domain cost?

A .rs domain is €19.00 per year. The cheapest Serbian national domain is .in.rs at €6.00 per year, and .co.rs, .org.rs and .edu.rs are €8.50 per year. A company can register every national domain except .in.rs; an individual can register every one except .co.rs, .org.rs and .edu.rs.

Is transferring a .rs domain to SkyHosting free?

Yes, for all five Serbian national domains - .rs, .co.rs, .org.rs, .edu.rs and .in.rs. Note that none of them is extended by the transfer: the domain keeps its existing expiry date and renewal is paid separately when it falls due. For every other extension (.com, .net, .org, foreign ccTLDs, newer gTLDs) the transfer is charged at the registration price and it does add one year to the domain.

Are your VPS servers managed or unmanaged?

Our standard VPS servers are unmanaged: you get full root access and the SolusVM control panel, and you handle the operating system, updates and security yourself. Managed maintenance is available as a separate paid service - ask us and we will quote it. See VPS plans.

What is included in a web hosting plan?

Every cPanel SSD hosting plan includes a free SSL certificate, free website migration from your current host, regular backups and support by phone, ticket and live chat in English and Serbian. Plans start at €24.70 per year. Compare hosting plans.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

Yes - 30 days on shared web hosting plans. If you change your mind within that period we refund what you paid. The guarantee covers web hosting only: it does not apply to VPS servers, domains or SSL certificates, because those carry costs we pay to the registry or the certificate authority the moment you order.
